Basic Massage Therapy Program

The Holistic Institute of Massage Therapy, Inc. Diploma Program in Basic Massage Therapy offers comprehensive training in the theory and practice of massage therapy through classroom, clinical and school sponsored outside activities. The School’s academic standard integrates course work from four areas: theory and technique, human sciences, career development and professional ethics.

Academic classes are limited to 30 students per instructor. Practical classes are limited to 15 students per instructor (or assistant).

The School helps students successfully complete the programs by providing tutoring and other forms of assistance. In order to benefit from this assistance, students must have a genuine desire to become competent massage therapists and they must apply themselves diligently to the course work and clinical experience.

550 Hour Diploma Program

Credential Issued – Diploma

Program Objective – To prepare graduates to take State Licensure and National Certification Exam for therapeutic massage and bodywork. To demonstrate basic knowledge in basic massage skills. Upon successful completion of the program, to practice as an entry level massage therapist.

Program Description – The course is a 550 hour program leading to diploma in massage therapy. 501 hours are theory and spent in the classroom with academic and practical course work. 49 hours are spent in the student clinic.
